Tom and Andrea both love boats. It’s
one reason they found each other.
So it seemed right for us to visit one
of their favorite haunts: the Wooden
Boat Museum on Lake Union.

When we stepped inside I saw this
bay window bathed in winter light.

I moved a table and chairs and asked
them to sit. They did. Then quite
naturally and with no prompt, Tom took Andrea’s hand, cupped it to his lips and blew on her fingers to warm them.
Ah.

What a pleasure to balance—deftly, always deftly—a moment both created and found.
